There was drama today as a man attempted to end his life by tying a rope to his neck and jumping off a street light pole on Kimathi Street in Central Nairobi.
The rope didn’t cooperate, he was too heavy for it. He fell down with a thud and angry onlookers bayed for his blood but he was saved by good Samaritans.
Lesson
Life is difficult for Kenyans but what lies being the barrier of pain? Suicide should be the last option, not even an option; because at least for once one has reached the end of their thoughts and one should not be afraid of embracing the the advise that has been whispering at the back of the minds about another way.
For example, if you have been a staunch religionist i.e. a Christian and have reached depression because of lack of jobs and the only opening around is bar attender job that you’ve been rejecting because of your faith.
At this moment of taking your life, don’t you see it is better to embrace a different path, change one’s mind and take the job that had been labeled ‘a sin’ by your religion and work for your living.
What does it profit one to stick to notions, belief systems and doctrines that enslave one into not living a life?
It is the end, you’re been shunned because of your joblessness, now what?
Break free.
