Sammy Kirya,
We don’t hold the future
We hold the now
Now is what matters.
Our dreams, we should dream
But work to have it now.
Prophesies are just that,
We hold the key to them,
They happen because we are alive.
If we graduate from here,
To the land of the dead,
Who will fulfil the prophecy?
Oh God!
For in death there is no remembrance of you;
Who praises you from the grave?
The psalmist sang.
We are given life,
To enjoy it with laughter and pain in equal measure.
Kirya always chose a big smile and a big spoon.
Big hearted boi.
Now in the realm of the dead.
Fly with wings into the shining dawn
Fly into the radiant sunset
May God’s strength empower your mum and wife.
Rest in peace friend,
See you at home, or along the way.
Our Mufasa.
One day, death too shall die.
