…for once the bourgeoisie allowed check-ups,
It was shocking yet admiringly what we fought for,
The potent weapon; our forerunners, our champion attacked,
Raking open the mammoth’s belly
Revealing obscenities and hypocrisy.
The animal, ashamed woke up and stung;
The inquisitive public eye was too much, they claimed.
(Pause)
Exposed,
They yell to scare the public, with covered faces and cowardice.
Intent on diminishing and destroying
The path that leads to the renaissance.
Stooping even so low,
Silencing sprouting springs of schooling.
