A boy was yesterday shot dead in cold blood in Majengo Area of Kamukunji constituency.
The young man Ahmed had confronted the police for manhandlong his friend when the police drew his AK47 and shot him at point blank range.
The area MP Yusuf Hassan condemned the killing and called on the Inspector General of Police Hillary Mutyambai to arrest and charge the Policeman who is known as Chirchir with murder.
Today, the residents held demonstrations to push for justice for Ahmed.
The running battles were characterised with more gun fire as police killed a few more people and wounded several others.
It is disheartening. But I keep saying, the police reforms have failed and that if everyone doesn’t stand up for justice then the Kenyan govt’s agenda for the youths will remain ‘Shoot to kill’.
It is an evil colonial state.
