This week, the British media and of course the British plantation media aka Kenyan media bombarded us with news that British companies are giving jobs to Kenyans without degrees. Sounds like a great thing seeing that the Kenyan govt has not been tackling unemployment even sadder that the Jubilee Regime itself has not advertised for jobs for eons.
Many Kenyans will embark on the journey to Britain to take up those lucrative jobs. Am not asking you not to, but it is better not to go there ignorantly and then start crying like those who head to Arab nations then encounter the not so cool things.
My mantra, a saying I devised in my head through deep thinking says, ‘Life is good, it is also not amust, get rich or die trying but read widely and think deeply’.
Below, Dr Wandia Njoya rings to light that such beautiful things such as these jobs advanced by ur former coloniser can be a poisoned chalice.
Take a look:
First, let us begin with the celebration and invite from the British diplomat.

God in heaven. I’ve just remembered the sordid history of Black reconstruction in the US, and it has clicked why the UK wants black uneducated workers. Wah. If you don’t have the stomach to read about lynchings in the US, ignore this thread.
Remember that the Boris Johnson government campaigned on an anti-immigrant platform and won both Brexit and the general election. Who voted for them? British workers who were losing out economically.

And then remember, also, that British companies are now laying off workers and getting big bail outs from the US government. Who is going to do the work of those same British workers who voted for anti-immigrant policies of Brexit? Africans.

And then remember also, the Windrush scandal where black Caribbean workers were invited to work in the UK and then deported after 50 years, after they’ve paid taxes and UK doesn’t want to pay them their pensions. FYI: This happened in 2018.

How does the racist Tory government that used anti-black sentiments to campaign, which wants the British empire back, now want African workers without degrees? The obvious is that they’ll be cheaper than the British workers they have now sacked. But there’s something more evil.
The Africans will be cheaper because they will be caught between a hostile and racist work environment from racist workers bitter with them for taking their jobs and fear of deportation by the state. That’s what blacks faced after the end of slavery.
After the emancipation, black Americans were caught between rich whites who wanted to exploit their labor under close to slave conditions, and poor whites who resented them for gaining their freedom. Basically, the rich whites coopted the poor ones in reinforcing racism.
The rituals of terror which poor whites used to keep black people “in their place” were about that inability to see that they too were exploited. So Britain is being quite reckless with African lives when its inviting Africans to an environment which BRITISH ELITES made hostile.
You can see why they don’t want Africans with degrees. They are assuming that those Africans won’t know this history, and won’t care to. But just wait. When those Africans start attending night classes in the UK, kitaumana.
And I won’t put it past this crazy Tory government to write it into their visa conditions that getting an education violates the visa. Whatever the case, let’s not be naive. This isn’t about British opportunity or generosity. It has never been.
And this is the same strategy that corporations used with strike breakers during the industrial revolution. Workers go on strike, corporations get other ones, and leave strikers and strike breakers fighting. Divide and rule isn’t only about identity. It’s also about economy.
