First of all, let’s not lie to ourselves, Uhuru is not a democrat.
And while the author touts him as development minded, he certainly has scored some good points in infrastructure development; the problem is corruption. Mega looting.
Truly without deceit, Uhuru Kenyatta is the best PR master of all the presidents that ever ruled Kenya, and for good reasons. We live in the 21st Century, where what is done on camera is important than facts on the ground.
As the saying goes, kwa ground vitu ni different.
Nonetheless, let’s give him credit for NYS, Huduma Centres and the empowerment of women in an increasingly feminist world.
The author praises President Uhuru Kenyatta from many angles but unfortunately doesn’t share the statistics for some claims such as women empowerment.
The 412-paged book is a little boring, maybe it is because Uhuru is currently in power and everyone can judge him as at now; the way they feel. Maybe the future generation will imbibe in this Kenyatta propaganda and not judge much.
Some of the titles are screaming but have little content beneath them.
For the above reason, Prof Peter Kagwanja should just have put his thoughts in newspaper articles and leave them there.
A book was unnecessary.
